Friends of the Farmers' Market
The Friends of the Farmers' Market 2006 Spring Celebration was held this Wednesday, April 19, 2006. If you didn’t make it, you missed some mouth watering local wines and cheeses that were so good one of the vendors had to issue a cease and desist order before I cleaned him out. Of note were the soft cheeses from the Monteillet Fromagerie in Dayton—yum, now that was just about as good as it gets.

I'm totally pulling this thread off topic, but while there did you happen to hear which applications for new vendors were accepted?
I just couldn't make it and I'm sorry I didn't.
I didn’t see a vendor list while there. There was some talk about location; I guess that’s still up in the air. One comment I thought odd-that only vendors within 20 miles of Spokane could use the market. Most or all of the vendors at the celebration were way beyond that boundary, so I don’t get it. Another vendor I didn’t mention who was serving up organic wine-China Bend winery north of Kettle Falls. Their house red was absolutely scrumptious-kind of ungrapy with a really great mouth feel.
This is a really cool blog and I especially enjoyed the recipes! Love to see more photos of the doggie :-)
